The McDonald's Townsville Running Festival includes a full 42.2km marathon, 21.1km half marathon, 10km Classic, 5km run/walk for adults, corporates & juniors, and 2.5km Hero Run.
The AIMS accredited courses are fast, flat and hug the coastline. The Townsville Marathon is Australia's second oldest race and gives runners spectacular views of the Coral Sea, Magnetic Island and The Strand. Choose from the Tony Ireland Townsville Marathon, Daikin Air Conditioning Half Marathon, the 10K Classic or the short 5km and kids options.
The Townsville Road Runners cater for runners of all abilities and are available to help local runners prepare for the big day. An event started in 1972, the Townsville Marathon is the second longest annual marathon in Australia.
